Rare and vintage beer glassesare not very high priced compared to some other collectibles such as cone top beer cans, for example. However, these make great display pieces and have their charms for sure. As singles, vintage beer glasses can sell for anywhere from $15 to $40 each, based on the condition and quality of the item. Some examples of glasses we have sold include a rare beer shell glass from 1868 and a Michelob short beer barrel glass from the 1970's. Both of these sold in the range of $15 each. We tend to think the German shell glass was a good deal for whoever bought it.
Glass sets, on the other hand, can still fetch a lot of money, sometimes in the thousands of dollars if they are rare enough and/or in finest condition. We've never been able to sell these, though, so it may be that beer glass collections, no matter what the vintage, especially larger collections, might be difficult to unload.
